I EAT CATS FOR BREAKFAST

Lately I’ve been surrounded by cats. My roommate’s kitten is Bagel, the neighbour’s tabby answers to Miso, best friend’s cat is Peeta and my future cat’s name will be Chai. That sent me down a rabbit-hole: why does every cat in my orbit sound like a food item? Is it pure carb obsession, a comfort cue, or something deeper about the way we bond with animals? I scraped and cleaned a dataset of 10,000-plus cat names to see whether snack-themed names really rules the litter box?

I used Cursor for Svelte scaffolding, D3.js for data visualization, and the OpenAI API (GPT‑o3) to analyze and sort the data. And don’t miss the fun, AI‑powered name generator at the end :)
