Flow, an advanced AI filmmaking tool started as a Google Labs experiment and launched its dedicated X channel (@FlowbyGoogle) in August 2025. As part of the core team, we created and owned the #FindYourFlow series, spotlighting new features through fast, X-native clips that show prompts evolving into polished video, driving strong organic reach and above-benchmark engagement since launch.

Behind the scenes: A lot of hands-on experimentation went behind all the video generations. Generated and tested dozens of video variations, iterating on prompts, refining prompting techniques, and pressure-testing the end-to-end workflow in Flow with Veo and Nano Banana Pro. Each clip went through multiple rounds of exploration, adjusting wording, pacing, style, camera language, and visual details then tightening outputs until the ideas felt scroll-stopping and polished for X. The result is a repeatable creative process that turns product updates and new features into fast, native videos that clearly show how simple text prompts can become cinematic results.

A #FindYourFlow tip that turned images into high-quality ingredients in Flow. Images were edited with Nano Banana to isolate the subject on a neutral background. This created a clean, focused ingredient ready to be refined, saved, and dropped seamlessly into the scenes being created.

Prompt used: “Static symmetrical ultra wide inside the pavilion; multiple stairways and floating platforms recede into the sky. Surreal, sky pavilion above clouds: teal archways and columns frame a vast blue sky; floating walkways and impossible staircases made of alternating teal/rose tiles cast clean shadows. Pastel palette (teal, mint, salmon, butter yellow), crisp hard light, long soft clouds below. A woman wearing a tailored outfit steps into frame from left and walks down a cantilevered staircase; steady rhythm, shoes click on tiles; her shadow moves across the steps. She turns left, then continues on a second staircase as the camera arcs.”

Prompt used: “Retro-futuristic desert junkyard at golden hour. A chrome saucer hovers overhead, casting a soft magenta glow. From its underside: a thick cotton-candy pink energy plume that billows upward like stylized smoke. Vintage CRT televisions and small scrap objects fall out of the UFO, gently tumbling. Palette is candy pinks, sky blue teal, chrome highlights; tiny sparkles/dust motes in the light. Clean wides, slightly dreamy lens bloom, subtle film grain. Static symmetrical wide of the junkyard and sky; a faint hum grows as a chrome UFO slides down into frame and ignites a pink energy plume that begins to swell from the ground. Dolly in. The plume expands, CRTs fall from the UFO and tumble inside it, quick rotation, screens catching specular glints; glittery particles drift. Ambient wind moves a few cables and ladders. Low angle, closer on the plume; one CRT spins slowly toward camera, then drifts upward; the UFO’s rim lights flare, pink light wraps edges; airy, cotton-like billows keep forming from below. Pull back to the wide. The UFO tilts and zips away; the plume collapses into lingering pink haze as CRTs settle back down softly.“

To test how polls drive engagement on X, built a simple storyline designed to see what resonated. The concept stayed straightforward, but leaned into excitement and mystery and it took multiple rounds of testing and pivots to land the final narrative.
