The Head Hi Lamp Show is a global exhibition celebrating light through a curated selection of lighting objects from an international open call. Since 2019, it has become a platform for artists, designers, and craftspeople to showcase experimental and diverse lamp designs. The fifth anniversary edition, that was held in April 2024 at 102 Franklin in Tribeca during the NYCxDESIGN Festival, featured 54 designers selected from over 300 submissions, Organized by Head Hi founders Alexandra Hodkowski and Alvaro Alcocer, the show is renowned for its inclusive, celebratory approach to contemporary design, solidifying its status as a prominent event in New York’s design scene.
Ghosh collaborated with two other NY based digital artists to design an innovated lamp, “Glowster” that was featured and showcased at the Head Hi Lamp Show in New York. We took a vintage Toastmaster toaster and turned it into a quirky functional lamp.
